Rochard Summer Watermelon Fruit Limoges Box

A juicy watermelon, the taste of every summer picnic, becomes a porcelain box in this Rochard Limoges piece. It is hand-painted in Limoges, France, and it brings the fun of the Fourth of July and backyard barbecues to the shelf.

Slice of Summer

Few fruits say summer as clearly as watermelon, from seed-spitting contests to cold slices on the porch. Rochard captures the fruit in porcelain, painted by hand so each one carries its own slight variations. Since it is porcelain, this is one melon that will last all year.

Backyard Barbecue Season

Set it on a kitchen windowsill, a picnic-themed buffet or a porch-side table during the summer months. It makes a fun hostess thank-you after a Fourth of July cookout, a summer birthday present, or a treat for a farmer's market regular. It also suits a gardener who grows melons, a friend from the South who swears by a slice with salt, or anyone who counts the days until summer. Fruit collectors will find it a cheerful addition to the bowl.
